Lynne Iggulden.

Straziante dolore rielaborato in flutti d’esperienza, verità urlata dall’Arte di Iggulden e cesellata in preludi d’immenso, l’invisibile nell’inviolabile dipinto.

Lynne Iggulden. The Revealed Time

Engraved instants in the depths of soul, moments lived through the wind breath, moments like pages of this endless furrowed of eternal, these all into the creative dawn of Lynne Iggulden: blow of sensitiveness laying in the past that is reborn. It’s like memory, moistening the eyes of the immense, revealing the deep meaning of existence in the imprint of time.

Brush strokes of pure light seem to filter and simultaneously shape the spell of wrapping silence, common objects, doors, windows, embedded lock between fuzzy thoughts and fragments of stories, but also the new born atmospheres on the painting’s face, artistic skin dilated by Iggulden with refined glazes.

Through these, the belonging to time is a fleeting encounter with soul, diaphanous melody that returns.

Each piece exudes reverberations and echoes capable of chasing each other like ridden waves by memory, like memories gushing the nectar of evocative beauty, like voices of truth, scratched from wrinkles of time, suffered and retained by the look, that between heaven and earth smoothes shingles painted by the artist with amazing detail and technical expertise, shingles as secret guardians on the shores of words, transported elsewhere by the movement of the ocean.

In the quiet of a relaxing landscape charged with emotional perception, Iggulden’s brush undermines the traces of lived experiences and projects then on canvas, with the strength of feeling.

On these grounds trembling revelations, languor colors whisper the silent life that still flows through ramifications of connective tissues or that still beats in stratification of forms, destiny placentas consumed in the shadow of life.

They are material existences through time traces, breaths of  painting by Iggulden, re-enactments among the invisible painted, sulphurous shadows crossed by the reaction of our being. Everything seems to rage and rage in the poignant sweetness of memory, emotional hurricane, despair sharp, tender torment, liquid reminiscence

Only now nature, with its noon’s and with its sunrises and sunsets, emerges in a symphony of naturalism and spiritualism of strong poetic impact; pearls dipped into a melody that can photograph the perspective of the inner world and turn it into vanishing points, inclinations, foregrounds and background, thanks to the sensitiveness, to the creativity and the technical and  interpretative ability of Iggulden. Almost diaries on the bark of solitary trunks and yet so conscious of their evocative power.

Truth, character, memory, feelings, are substrates of the existence and the present, icons of a past future in intimate communion with the natural forces of the universe, realities that fold those emotional tortured lines and shake the reason, behind them a sense of anxiety drains the soil of passionate vitality and provides indelible cracks.

Iggulden enters through her heart eyes and explores the most remote depths of our own being, without, however, never going beyond the boundaries of the reassuring known world.

On the canvas she shows the caresses attached to those years passed in the delirium suggestion, reconstructing a story left in half. In the certainty of this experience, consciousness reigns supreme, tremors tangle deforming its intangible form, to the last variation of light modulated by Iggulden in numerous passages of chiaroscuro.

Every gesture of the artist,  releases the excitement tempered by the heat of burning tears, conscious of a mystery that lives in the night of time and that blazes in blue, harbingers of ancient omens.

In Iggulden’s figurative it’s never missing the sense of structure that orchestrates the composition. The eye is, indeed, almost invited to read in filigree it’s places charged with memory, places that are able to open suspended visions between emotion and melancholy.

A fascinating journey poured into painting with the awareness of touching the most intimate and secret strings of inner music, a sequence of movements in the infinite range of experienced sensations.

A story still to tell, many undiscovered intermediate areas, where it is still possible to trace the last beats of a material sensation, elusive to reason and capable of generating expressive symphonies soaked with vital water retained in memory.

Glances in the secret chambers of memory reveal shelters, oblivion, but also floating islands, detached leaves from the tree of life, on which one sees shipwrecks of past adrift.

Possible migrations that communicate to the viewer a sense of peace and at the same time of anxiety vibrating in unison under the influence of the luminous effect of Iggulden.

Her pictorial compositions are portraits of memories pierced by dream, almost immaterial textures, fluid architectures, transparent and ethereal, suspended in the perfect rib becoming dense in the infinite space of a fragment.

Under the lens of painting the spirit of illusion, on the border of a sensorial and silent evocation, it lights up the forms of memory sending us back into the years of dance, choreography rumination of feelings and bright mental perspectives that slide in the color liquidity, calibrated by the artist with tension and emotional daring.

Everything is resolved in a clever fusion of images taken from reality and visions worn by the soul, that get overlapped by pictorial reflections of extraordinary expressive power, capable of leading us into the recesses of time, where the human dissects the universal. It is a meticulous investigation capable of causing penetrating wounds, especially when barbed wire, attached to the tree of survival, pierces consciousness.

Excruciating pain revised in waves of experience, the truth being shouted by Iggulden’s art and chiseled into preludes of immense, the invisible in the inviolable painting.

Echoes of universe, archaic resonances, sentimental repercussions live in the existentialism and germinate in poetic music sheets, even intimate, then transferred into a large scale figurative solution, almost resembling praises of time that travels through the world and draws the body of consciousness on the fugitive hours of twilight.

In the slow unfolding, in the imperceptible ramification of this tender and icy existence, absence, the only presence, bright companion that feeds from primordial origins, builds a renewed vision of things, interweaving with present, alternating with night, dissolving into the light of ordinary eclipse painting: rivers of emotions and stones of memories in the time revealed by Lynne Iggulden.

Biography:
Lynne has been painting and drawing since early childhood and since moving to the beautiful Bay of Plenty four years ago, she now paints full time from her home studio in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Lynne specializes in ‘Contemporary Realism’ with a passion for detail, texture and the presence of light and shade and the desire to ‘capture a moment’, or simply showing a ‘passage in time’.

Lynne paints a wide range of subjects – however, her greatest passion is detailed texture, where the viewer will often feel the urge to reach out and interact with the painting – ‘be it wanting to peel at the chipped paint from an old barn door to picking the rust off an old rusty bolt.’

She has undertaken many commissioned pieces and her paintings can be found in many private collections within New Zealand, Australia, Scotland and Europe.

Her paintings are largely influenced by her surrounding environment of the beautiful Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand and growing up in Titahi Bay, north of Wellington, where she developed a fascination to the charm and character of the weathered timber, chipping paint and the old rusty padlocks and tractors of the Bay Boat Sheds.

Recently Lynne was invited to participate at the seventh edition of the highly prestigious Florence Biennale which was held in Florence, Italy in December 2009′
