Erik van Kessel new Chief Operating Maritim Hotels Germany

Erik van Kessel, born in the Netherlands, he has been the Regional Director since May 2017 and has now been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Labour Relations Director by the Supervisory Board. He will be succeeding Gerd Prochaska who, after 43 years with Maritim, retired on 31st July 2018.

The appointment took place on 1st September 2018 for the next five years. Van Kessel has almost 30 years of experience in the sector and was also the Chief Operating Officer of the Park Plaza hotel group as well as for NH Hotels Deutschland. He most recently worked as a hotel management consultant and coach.

Roland Elter was appointed as the Managing Director of Sales and Marketing in March this year. The Maritim management team is completed by Hendrik Förster who has been the Chief Financial Officer since 2001.
